VH1 GREATEST ALBUM COVERS LIST

“I feel like INTRODUCING was very emulating,” he says. “It was kind of like, ‘okay, I’m going to go after that super traditional country sound’, and the songs did that, but for this one, I was like, ‘let’s try to go outside the box’. I struggled with the fact that I didn’t want to get pigeon-holed as a traditional country artist and this one was reaching for almost a more modern, definitely retro sound.

“When you look back at like Neil Young and Bob Dylan and you hear some albums that sound 180 degrees different from other albums, that’s kinda the artist I want to be. I know sometimes that’s going to push some loyal fans away, maybe, but I think the thing that stays the same is it’s always going to be my voice, it’s always going to be my songs and I hope that people will continue to like my music for that.

“I just want to keep growing and I hope the next record sounds even more different from this one.” Megan Gnad www.caletyson.net
