Recipe for Healtly Hair and Skin
450 g/1 lb potatoes, sliced 450 g/1 lb swede (rutabaga) or turnip, cut into small cubes
1 onion, chopped
50 g/2 oz/ 1/2 cup butter Salt and white pepper Snipped chives
Boil the potato, swede or turnip and onion for about 12-15 minutes, removing any scum as it rises. Drain and mash to a fine puree, then pass through a sieve (strainer). Flavour with butter, salt and pepper. Present in individual pie dishes sprinkled with snipped chives.
