A NOTE ON THE PHOTOGRAPHS
You may wonder why there are so many vintage pictures included in the best celebrity style. For me, there is a kind of validity given when the same item of clothing say, a trench coat is worn across decades. It just has more impact than seeing only a picture of one today. It announces that look as iconic by virtue of longevity and looking consistently good over time. Even something that could be considered non-classic, like a bohemian peasant blouse, becomes timeless by seeing one on Yvonne De Carlo in the 50s, Ali MacGraw in the 70s, and Sienna Miller today. That said, every picture in this best celebrity style, whether taken in this century or last, looks relevant and current to me today.

I encourage you to use this best celebrity style the same way. Once you figure out what you like, you will gain the confidence to listen to yourself when you are getting dressed instead of the magazines, the designers, the advertisements and even me! Until then, I am here to suggest and inspire by sharing my take on six distinct ways of dressing classic, bohemian, minimal, high fashion, street, and eclectic and four essential ways of shopping basic, cheap chic, designer, and vintage.
