HIDING ROOTS HAIR TIPS

Whether you are blonde or brunette, pink, blue, crimson or flaming copper there are loads of quick fixes and tips to disguise roots and freshen up your colour between salon visits.

Match a mascara to your chosen colour and brush it on for a quick temporary paint job.

Wear hairstyles that frame the face or have texture or waves to disguise undyed roots.

AVOID RULER STRAIGHT PARTINGS; FLIPPING AND CHANGING PARTINGS IS A BRILLIANT DISGUISE.

Dry shampoos can stop the hair looking flat and reduce the tell tale signs of roots that need touching up.

Ask for a few woven threads of different colour around the face and especially at the parting for a softer regrowth area.

Don’t try to hide your hair by scraping it into a ponytail this will only make the roots more obvious.

Have a quick T section touch up job to cover the hairline and parting between colours.

Modern colourants very often have conditioning properties but coloured hair does need extra care. Use deep conditioning masks at least once a week.

HAIR COLOURING TIPS

If you ‘re thinking about a big colour change risit the wig department of a department store or specialist wig shop and try on a wig the colour you love.

If you can’t afford salon colour regularly, aim to a visit a salon at least once a year for a colour overall.

If your hair is weak and damaged apply a deep conditioning repair treatment to the tips of the hair before applying to the roots. Leave it on whilst colouring the remaining hair.
