Where you should go shopping for List of designer shoes
Eddie Bauer Outlet Boston
230 Washington St. Boston; (617) 227-4840
People who know and wear Eddie Bauer clothing swear by it and so they love this store where you can buy almost the same popular clothes at savings of 30% to 70% off retail prices. Most of the stock is made up of seconds and irregulars from the factory; but the boo-boos are usually so minuscule as to escape notice.
Find dresses for as little as $19.99 that had originally retailed for anywhere from $42 to $68, or sweaters for $10, and all kinds of other sportswear, outdoor gear, and shoes. Plus luggage, like duffel bags reduced from $40 to $29.50. Open daily from 10 A.M. to 7 P.M. Sundays 12-6.

Freedberg’s Of Boston
112 Shawmut Ave. Boston; (617) 357-8600
Not much here is cheap in the usual sense and certainly not in terms of quality. But when you can get men’s suits like these at drastically reduced prices, Mr. C says that’s newsworthy. Freedberg’s makes clothes for the best: Louis of Boston, Saks Fifth Avenue, and the like. Way upstairs at their South End factory, on Saturday mornings from 8 to 12 noon, you can peruse the racks yourself for the current season’s fashions at anywhere from 40% to 70% off. More recently, they’ve expanded these hours to include Thursdays and Fridays from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M.
The styles range from European cuts to conservative Wall Street looks; there are also ties, sweaters, and some women’s suits and dresses. Men’s suits are the main item, though. These start around $300-$450, which may sound like a lot, but these would easily cost twice as much in trendy stores. Some, in fact, would retail at well over $1,000. Go.
