After testing her skills on the trading floor, Kate then headed to Wiltshire, where she paid a visit to the Centre For Addiction Treatment Studies. Wearing a £325 coat from Reiss – which she later took off to reveal a £1,200 dress by Emilia Wickstead – Kate spent the afternoon meeting the course tutors and took part in a tutorial group discussing their training.
The duchess – who is patron of the charity Action On Addiction, which backs the course – was greeted by two young boys outside the centre, who gifted her a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
During her visit, Kate also attended a ceremony to celebrate the graduation of students from their foundation and honours degree. She was visibly moved as she heard from recovering alcoholic Anna Elston, who spoke about overcoming the upset of losing her three sons to foster care to graduate from the university course. Upon hearing her story, Kate told her: ‘I’m so happy and pleased that you got your children back.’ 10!
