Look for shampoos and conditioners that have all the hallmarks of the professional brands which include concentrated formula, active ingredients and a great fragrance you want to enjoy using the product. For instance, in my own signature range I have added shea butter as an active ingredient for moisture.
There is something to be said for the psychological benefits of using more expensive brands and therefore if you find spending lots of cash on a shampoo works for you stick with it. Remember that brands that are sold at the salon are accompanied by years of knowledge and advice and there’s a lot of value in that.
Now that you know a little more behind that little bottle of shampoo in your shower, what’s the best way to shampoo? There is an art to it just think how wonderful your hair feels when it’s been washed at the salon. Many of my clients say that’s the best bit, so use this as a starting point and think of washing your hair as a ritual.
shampoos are essentially cleaning: agents and you need to consider that when you are enticed by all the wonderful marketing claims The cheaper brands are generally nothing more than cleaning agents, while the luxury labels have the added benefit of more active ingredients added.
I think the best advice I can offer is that a medium priced product will do a perfectly good job, as there are so many other factors that come into play in achieving shiny happy hair.
