Look for shampoos and conditioners that have all the hallmarks of the professional brands which include concentrated formula, active ingredients and a great fragrance you want to enjoy using the product. For instance, in my own signature range I have added shea butter as an active ingredient for moisture.

There is something to be said for the psychological benefits of using more expensive brands and therefore if you find spending lots of cash on a shampoo works for you stick with it.
