When Fuld went from Chicago to Tampa Bay in 2011, he suddenly got an opportunity to play every day when Manny Ramirez failed a drug test and abruptly retired. Fuld responded the next day by making an all-time great catch on a drive to right by Juan Pierre of the White Sox with the bases loaded in a one-run game. Fuld appeared to be flying after the ball, which he grabbed, backhanded, on the warning track.
