A SATISFYING SHOWER
This is perhaps the only day of the week when a shower can be an event in itself not a rushed prerequisite to leaving the house. “On Sundays 1 use all sorts of shower gels, exfoliating scrubs, loofahs in a really long shower. If I’m really inspired, 1 even grab the pumice stone, ” says a Glamour staffer. “On Sundays I go running and get really sweaty just get all of the week’s anxiety out, ” says an Atlanta doctor. “Then / come back and take a warm shower with my gels and loofah, and it ’s the most relaxing, luxurious thing I do for myself. That’s when 1feel beautiful. When my muscles are aching and the shower is pounding …I look forward to it all week. ”
Fortunately, bath companies are focusing on ways to make shower products more indulgent, less perfunctory. “There’s a move toward products that create the feel of a bath gels with rich lather and aromas that hang in the air, products that are very conditioning, just like the oils you use in the tub,’’ says Lesley Blodgett, senior vice president of marketing for Bare Escentuals.
