If you want all-over colour and highlights, L’Oreal Paris is about to make your day. New Couleur Experte (right) is a two-step kit that allows you to colour your hair and do your own highlights. Once you’ve completed the all-over colour, use the clever mascara-like wand to appiy the highlights. To finish, there’s an apricot conditioner (enough for five applications) to deeply nourish your hair. There are 12 great shades to choose from, priced £12.99, available from Boots.


Liv Tyler

Liv’s glossy dark hair is her trademark and could be yours, too. Celeb hairdresser James Brown says: “Liv has chosen a colour similar to her own, perhaps one shade lighter. Try Nice ’n’ Easy 118 Natural Medium Brown, £5.69. This allows your natural tones to shine through.” To copy her style:
