I guess I’m biased but I agree! It’s true that the right hair can dramatically knock off the years. Eating the right things is all very well but you need to make sure you also drink plenty of water. And water really is the key here tea, coffee and alcohol won’t do it! Hydration is essential for all aspects of body health and is the secret to youthful hair that is full of vitality. As we age, we lose more and more moisture, resulting in drier, weaker, brittle hair, so putting back the moisture is essential. Drink up to two litres a day, avoid sugary drinks and lower your alcohol consumption and your hair will soon show its gratitude, you’ll see!
Avoid crash diets which can actually affect the health of your hair. Instead adopt a lifestyle where your diet is rich in anti oxidants such as vitamins A,C and E and eat carotenes to fight the effects of ageing free radicals. Consult a nutritionist or health food store for more advice.
